Vallance Match Report 30/01/12

Vallance welcomed league leaders Stonewall FC for a Middlesex County 1st Division (Central and East) clash on Saturday 28th January 2012. Vallance were boosted by the return of several key players whilst Stonewall were looking to preserve their lead at the top of the table. The first 20 minutes were fairly even with both teams seeing plenty of the ball but failing to test the opposition keeper. It was Vallance who carved out the first opportunity through Carl Osbourne, but after evading the challenges of two defenders, shot straight at the keeper. Stonewall had very few chances but undeservedly took the lead through a shot from the edge of the box, that somehow found the back of the net despite two Stonewall players appearing to be in offside positions and blocking the Keepers view.

Vallance came out second half and were level within two minutes of the restart as Michael Lovett floated a corner over from the right which evaded everyone and flew straight into the net. Vallance began to get on top and were pressing for the second goal which soon arrived through a close range header from Charles Younes. Once in the lead however, Vallance did not sit back and they pressed for the third goal but a combination of poor finishing and some good defending by Stonewall kept the away side in the game. Stonewall themselves began to push forward in search of an equaliser, but a strong performance by the back four of Vallance, plus endless running from the midfield pairing of Lovett and Younes ensured Vallance ran out 2-1 winners.

Vallance Manager Junel Uddin was delighted with not only the result, but also the performance of each and every player but felt a special mention should go to Sam O'Brien and Charles Younes who he felt were outstanding.

Vallance Match Report

Vallance welcomed Wilberforce Wanderers for a home fixture in the Middlesex County 1st Division (Central and East) fixture on Saturday 14th January 2012.

Vallance were looking to build on last weeks performance and pick up a valuable three points against a side they had taken maximum points off everytime they had met. It proved to be a different story this time around, as a lack of natural strikers on the pitch for Vallance showed as they saw plenty of the ball in the middle, but no end product when the ball entered the final third. Wilberforce went into the break one up. A low effort into the bottom corner from just outside the area proving to be the difference, but they were guilty of some wasteful finishing which could have put them further ahead.

The second half saw the return of Vallance striker Salahuddin but he could not inspire the hosts as Wilberforce won every battle all over the pitch. Vallance did create some chances however Salahuddin and Zishan Ahmed were wasteful in front of goal. The same could not be said for Wilberforce as two clinical finishes put the game firmly out of Vallance's sight. Vallance tried to look for ways back into the game but were simply second best on the day.

A 3-0 defeat for Vallance on a disappointing day all round for the team but Manager Junel Uddin believes with key players set to return in the coming weeks, the boys will eventually turn it around and enjoy a good second half to the season.

Vallance Match Report

Vallance made the trip to Ark Academy to take on Cricklewood Wanderers in a Middlesex County 1st Division (Central and East) fixture on Saturday 7th January 2012.

Vallance were looking to get their season back on track after a dreadful end to 2011 and start moving back up the league table. The first half was a fairly even affair but Vallance still went into the break two one down. Cricklewood scored two goals in the space of five minutes. The first being awarded to Vallance Centre Half Robert Cope who, inadvertently directed a shot into his own goal before a second was added soon after through a close range finish. Vallance rallied and after a couple of half chances, were back in the game through Charles Younes who scored his first goal for Vallance with a deft touch into the far corner from a superb Zishan Ahmed cross.

The second half saw both teams come out knowing the next goal would be vital. Cricklewood went close throughout the half but were denied from close range by a super save from Amando in the Vallance goal, the crossbar from a long range dipping shot and a goal line clearance from Sam O'Brien. Vallance were not short on goalmouth action themselves and were denied what looked like a certain goal through Sebastian Alfonso as it appeared the ball had crossed the line before being hacked away only for the Referee to wave play on. Alfonso also hit the bar through a powerful header whilst Vallance had two penalty shouts turnt down.

A two one defeat for Vallance in a game that they did not deserve to lose but there were a lot of positives for the boys to reflect on as look forward to taking on Wilberforce Wanderers this coming Saturday in their first Home fixture of 2012.

Vallance welcomed Elite Youth Date 14/11/2011

Vallance welcomed Elite Youth for an East London Derby in the Middlesex County 1st Division (Central and East) on Saturday 12th November 2011.

Vallance were looking to get back to winning ways after a dreadful run of form but were again without many key players whilst Elite Youth were looking for their first points of the season.

The first half was a scrappy affair with both sides struggling to string many passes together. Despite this it was Elite who craved out the best chance of the half. The ball being worked down Vallance's left hand side enabling the Elite right winger to send a low cross into the Vallance six yard box, which was met by the Elite captain who somehow put his effort wide of the far post.

Vallance struggled to create any real clear cut chances and were reduced to long range shots as the half was played out.

The start of the second half was fairly similar to how the first ended with both teams cancelling each other out. The game was finally brought to life midway through the second half with a sensational finish from Captain for the day and Man of the match Michael Lovett. With Vallance being awarded a free kick 40 yards from goal, up stepped Lovett to smash home the free kick into the top corner leaving the keeper with no chance. Elite looked for ways back into the game but the Vallance backline held strong. Vallance were not helped soon after with the dismissal of Javed Ali for a reckless tackle. Down to 10 men, it looked like it could be a long 20 minutes for Vallance but instead of sitting back, Vallance pushed forward and were rewarded with a second goal. Zishan Ahmed done well down the left hand side to put a cross into the box which was flicked on by Courtney James for Carl Osbourne to tap home a yard out for his debut goal.

Elite saw plenty of the ball there after but it was Vallance who further could have extended their lead with Carl Osbourne and Royston Collins both squandering chances.

Elite did eventually pull a goal back a minute from time as Vallance failed to deal with a ball into the box but Vallance held out to run out 2-1 winners.

A gritty performance from Vallance but 3 points neverless to end a bad run of form and get them back to winning ways.

Vallance Senior team on the road again Date 28/09/2011

Vallance Senior team were on the road again as they took on Wilberforce Wanderers on Saturday 24th September 2011 in the Middlesex County 1st Division (Central and East).

With both teams enjoying good starts to the season, it was always going to be a close game especially with Vallance missing their front trio of Gerald Chidozka, Terence Mensah and Carlos Bruno.

The first half was a closely fought affair with neither goalkeeper having to make a serious save. Both midfields saw a lot of the ball but defences came out on top when the ball did enter the final third. That all changed however fifth teen minutes before half time as Vallance broke the deadlock. Dan Portsmouth picked the ball up inside the area and after evading the challenge of a defender, slipped the ball underneath the keeper into the corner with his left foot for his first goal of the season. Wilberforce looked to equalise but again the Vallance backline came out on top whilst Vallance found themselves in some good positions but wayward shooting let them down as the half drew to a close.

The second half saw Wilberforce look much more threatening when venturing forward but found the Vallance centre half pairing of Liam O'Hara and Peter Cole in outstanding form. Vallance struggled to create much but did keep the ball reasonably well when in possession. Wilberforce's best chance came in the last ten minutes but a superb block by left back Nazul Kamal on a goalbound shot ensured Vallance stayed infront. With five minutes added on to the ninety, Wilberforce layed siege to the Vallance goal but Vallance more than comfortably held on and run out one nil winners to maintain their 100% winning start to the new season.

Vallance manager Junel Uddin was delighted with not only the three points but also the clean sheet. He said "The most important thing was the three points but i was very pleased with how we saw out the game and did not allow Wilberforce any real clear cut chances." Vallance welcome West End FC this coming saturday for their first home fixture of the season.

Vallance FC Senior team travelled to Rosesdale College Date 22/09/2011

Vallance FC Senior team travelled to Rosesdale College for a Middlesex County Senior Open Cup 1st round tie on Saturday 17th September 2011 to take on high flying Premier Division side Hounslow Wanderers.

With Hounslow having made a good start to the season, Vallance knew this would be a stern test but started the game well with the front three of Terence Mensah, Gerald Chidozka and Carlos Bruno causing Hounslow all sorts of problems. After a couple of wasted chances Vallance eventually took the lead through Terence Mensah, who smashed home from close range after a square ball across the six yard area by Carlos Bruno. Vallance looked comfortable for the next 10 minutes until an unfortunate own goal by Centre half Liam O'Hara. This seemed to inspire Hounslow as they began to dominate the game and were soon 3-1 up with two long range strikes. This was not to be the end of the scoring in the half though as Gerald Chidozka wasted a golden opportunity after beating three men before Terence Mensah gave Vallance hope with a well placed shot after a superb pass by Carlos Bruno.

The 2nd half was just as entertaining as the 1st with both teams looking threatening when venturing forward. Hounslow made it 4-2 with a chipped effort before Vallance produced a great comeback. Carlos Bruno scored Vallance's 3rd with a composed finish after good work by Gerald Chidozka. Gerald then got his name on the score sheet firing low beyond the keeper after beating two defenders. Both teams then had chances to win it with Vallance clearing two efforts off the line whilst Terence Mensah was brought down inside the Hounslow box for what looked a certain penalty but the Referee waved away all appeals. That did not matter however as Vallance won it with 2 minutes to spare. Gerald Chidozka was released down the right and after turning the defender inside out, smashed the ball home from a tight angle to spark wild scenes of celebration amongst Vallance players and coaches.

A 5-4 victory for Vallance in a compelling match and a place in the 2nd round to look forward to.

Vallance FC start with win in New kit Date 16/09/2011

Vallance FC start with win in New kit

Vallance FC started the new season in the Middlesex County 1st Division with a game against local team Elite Youth who were promoted last season. Vallance started well and took the lead in the 10th minute with a goal from Terence Mensah. On the 30th minute mark Vallance got a 2nd with a goal from Carlos Bruno. After the break Terence scored his 2nd and sub Mehmood Kamal got the 4th for Vallance who won comfortably 4-0 with all the goals scored by Vallance FC academy graduates.

Vallance began their Middlesex County Division One Date 16/09/2011

Vallance began their Middlesex County Division One (Central and East) season with a away fixture at local rivals Elite Youth on Saturday 10th September 2011.

The first 10 minutes were fairly scrappy as both teams struggled to create any real chances. It was Vallance who took the lead soon after as Terence Mensah smashed the ball home from just inside the area after finding himself one on one with the home keeper. Elite came into the game more soon after and had chances themselves but were wasteful in front of goal. Vallance then made Elite pay for the missed chances as they doubled their lead through Carlos Bruno who lifted the ball over the onrushing keeper and into the net via the underside of the cross bar.

The 2nd half was more than comfortable for Vallance as Elite very rarely threatened the Vallance goal. Vallance kept the ball well and went 3-0 up midway through the 2nd half as Mensah grabbed his 2nd of the game. The 3rd goal gave Vallance breathing space as Mensah and Bruno gave the Elite backline a torrid time before both being replaced for a well earned rest. It was their replacements who combined for the 4th goal. Loretto Nogcantsi beating 3 players down the right wing before squaring for Mehmood Kamal who controlled the ball and composed himself before slotting into the bottom corner from 6 yards.

A 4-0 win for Vallance matched by a impressive performance left Vallance manager Junel Uddin understandably delighted as the boys look to secure promotion this season back to the Middlesex County top flight.

Vallance Senior Team made the long trip to Chase Lodge Date 26/04/2011

Vallance Senior Team made the long trip to Chase Lodge in the scorching heat to take on Greens United in a Middlesex County 1st Division (Central and East) fixture on Saturday 23rd April 2011.

Vallance were looking to build on their recent form of eight wins in eleven games but were again missing several key players. After a quiet 15 minutes Greens Utd took the lead with a well placed header into the corner of the net from their right winger. Vallance looked for ways to get back into the game but it wasn't until 5 minutes before the interval that they equalised.

A well worked team move down the left hand side involving Sam O'Brien, Michael Lovett, Nazul Kamal and Alex Nunziante resulting in Liam O'Hara converting a low cross from Lovett from close range for his first goal of the season.

Vallance finished the first half on top and came out second looking to restamp their authority on the game. After threatening the Greens's goal, they eventually took the lead through Mehmood Kamal who bundled home after O'Hara had done well to send the ball across the six yard box. The home side were then reduced to ten men as their hopes of getting back into the game grew thinner.

With Vallance a goal and a man up, they created chance after chance with O'Hara, Nunziante and Nazul Kamal all wasteful infront of goal. That was until Lovett secured all three points with a rasping 18 yard drive that left flew past the keeper and into the net. A goal in which he dedicated to his Grandad who had sadly passed away Friday Evening.

A 3-1 victory for Vallance accompanied by another superb team performance as they continue their hot run of form in their quest for promotion.

Vallance FC made the trip to John Lyon school Date 12/04/2011

Vallance FC made the trip to John Lyon school on Saturday 9th April 2011 for a Middlesex County 1st Division (Central and East) fixture against FC Team.

Vallance were looking to do the double over FC Team and were soon in their stride early on as they knocked the ball about with ease on a near perfect pitch as FC Team struggled to get to grips with them. After a couple of half chances, Vallance eventually took the lead through Gerald Chidozka who smashed the ball home after the ball fell into his path after Mehmood Kamal's shot was blocked. Five minutes later and they was two up through a superb Kirky Thomas dipping volley from twenty five yards which left the home keeper with no chance.

FC Team struggled to create any real clear cut chances at the other end and before long they found themselves three behind as Terence Mensah won the ball on the edge of his own area and played Thomas, who sent a great through ball to Chidozka and after showing the defender a clean pair of heels, carmly slotted past the Keeper for his 21st goal of the season.

Vallance came out second half knowing the game was won but were looking to score more goals to boost their goal difference. Again Vallance knocked the ball around well but were wasteful infront of goal as they found themselves in many good positions, but wayward shooting let them down. FC Team created little going forward as the Vallance backline enjoyed a trouble free day. That was until the last minute as FC Team scored a later consolation with their Left Winger firing high into the Vallance net from eight yards.

A comfortable 3-1 win for Vallance in the end and manager Junel Uddin was delighted with not only the three points but also the first half performance in which he believes his side played their best football of the season so far.

Vallance FC welcomed Hendon 'A' Date 22/03/2011

Vallance FC welcomed Hendon 'A' for a Middlesex County 1st Division (Central and East) clash on Saturday 19th march 2011.

Vallance were looking to get back to winning ways after the disappointment of the previous week but were missing several key players. The opening twenty minutes were scrappy as neither team produced a real effort on goal. It was Vallance who took the lead soon after though. Michael Lovett floated a free kick into the box from just inside the Hendon half. The Hendon players having tried to push up and catch Vallance offside, got it horribly wrong and Alex Nunziante chested the ball down for Mehmood Kamal to riffle home.

The rest of the half produced few chances with Vallance rarely threatening whilst they had a lucky escape at the other end as a cross shot deflected off Liam O'Hara and on to his own crossbar before finding safety.

Hendon enjoyed the majority of possession in the 2nd half and laid siege to the Vallance goal but were met by some resolute defending from Vallance. When the away side did find openings they also found Vallance keeper Jamie Vincent in no mood to be beaten. The closest Hendon came in the half was a close range header from a corner but Vincent was well placed to gather it and preserve Vallance's lead. With 3 minutes left on the clock, Vallance finally gave themselves breathing space as they doubled their advantage.

The ball was played back to the Hendon keeper who was quickly shut down by both Aminoor Rahman and Salahudien. It was Salahudien who eventually nicked the ball off the Keeper and smashed the ball into the bottom corner despite the attention of two defenders desperatley trying to spare their keeper's blushes.

A 2-0 victory for Vallance and Manager Junel Uddin was naturally delighted with not only the result but the way his team defended after being under pressure for long spells of the game.

Vallance U14 finish season Date 18/03/2011

Vallance U14 finish season

Vallance U14 have just completed their first season in the Kent Youth League U14 North Division. The boys who are all from Tower Hamlets have been together since they were playing at U9 level.

Manager Junel Uddin said “The Kent Youth League is a very good standard of football and a lot of the teams in this league have senior sides playing at step 5 or above of the Football pyramid. The boys at times have played some brilliant football and we finished our season on a real high defeating Welling Wanderers 3-0 in our last league game.” He added “Hopefully these boys will continue to progress and one day play for our first team. The Under 14 boys already have a good relationship with the first team players as quite a few of the first team have come down and got involved with helping me with training and matches so it has been a real club effort this term”.

The boys are now on a short break. They will be competing in the UK Asian Championship in Preston on Saturday 23rd April 2011 and in the Tower Hamlets U14 Mayors Cup in Victoria Park on Saturday 7th May 2011 before the BFA U14 Summer League starts. Training for the Kent Youth League U15 2011-12 will resume in July 2011.

Vallance welcomed FC Team for a Middlesex County Division One Date 03/03/2011

Vallance welcomed FC Team for a Middlesex County Division One (Central and East) fixture on Saturday 26th February 2011.

Vallance were looking to build on recent good form and took the lead within the opening ten minutes as Gerald Chidozka knocked the ball past the onrushing goalkeeper and into an empty net after a good through ball by Sam O'Brien. Vallance looked to extend their advantage but it was the away side who drew level from the penalty spot after a harsh handball was given against Vallance.

One minute later however and Vallance were ahead again through Salahudien who converted inside the six yard box after a good ball across goal from Hamidul Islam. Salahudien then scored his second and Vallance's third with a close range header before Chidozka found the bottom corner of the net with a powerful shot to make it four.

The first 15 minutes of the second half produced surprisingly no goals. That was until FC Team pulled a goal back on the hour which started off a goal fest as Vallance soon after restored their 3 goal advantage through another Chidozka strike. FC Team pulled another goal back through a penalty before a powerful strike and a header through their Centre Forward brought FC team level at 5-5.

A remarkable last 5 minutes however saw Vallance score 3 times with Terence Mensah grabbing 2. The first a tap in after the keeper had spilled a long range shot and the second a powerful shot similar to that of Chidozkas in the first half before Chidozka scored his 4th of the game to wrap up an amazing 8-5 win for Vallance.

Vallance FC made the long trip to Chase Lodge Date 23/02/2011

Vallance FC made the long trip to Chase Lodge to take on St Lawrence on Saturday 19th February 2011 in the Middlesex County 1st Division (Central and East).

With heavy rain settling on the pitch overnight, the game was only given the green light to go ahead 15 minutes before kick off and as soon as the Referee blew the first whistle, both teams knew it would be a scrappy game. St Lawrence made the brighter start and after a couple of half chances, took the lead through a close range finish. They soon doubled their lead as the St Lawrence Centre Forward found himself clean through on goal and calmly slotted in to leave Vallance two behind with just twenty minutes gone.

Vallance began to push forward more and pulled a goal back through Alex Nunziante with a fine left footed strike across the keeper. That goal gave Vallance hope and they were soon level through Gerald Chidozka who after being pulled down inside the box, picked himself up to tuck away the penalty and draw Vallance level. Vallance looked the more threatening team but two individual mistakes in the backline, both leading to goals cost Vallance dear and they went into the interval 4-2 down.

Vallance came out for the second half knowing one goal would bring them right back into it. The second half saw Vallance look much more assured at the back and they began to pick up the more second balls and dictate the play. They created chances but Nunziante failed to hit the target from just a few yards out and Chidozka was thwarted by the keeper when clean through.

Despite the missed chances, Vallance kept plugging away and eventually were given hope through a close range header by substitute Salahudien. Vallance pressed for the equaliser but it was St Lawrence who almost extended their advantage but a stinging shot from inside the area brought a fine reaction save from Jamie Vincent in the Vallance goal. With time running out and the home side looking as if they had held on for the win, Vallance played a long ball forward which found its way to Salahudien who took the ball around the keeper and slotted into an empty net for his second of the game. The Referee brought the end to a pulsating game two minutes later to leave a final score of 4-4.

Vallance travel to Hillingdon Date 09/02/2011

Vallance FC travelled to Hillingdon Athletics Stadium to take on Hillingdon FC in the 2nd round of the Jim Rogers President's Division One Cup on Saturday 5th February 2011.

The fixture had already been postponed twice due to bad weather so it was actually a relief for the game to go ahead. The opening 15 minutes were scrappy as a bad pitch and strong wind hampered both sides chances of playing football. It was Vallance FC who drew first blood however as Gerald Chidozka who had not really featured in the game thus far, collected the ball deep, beat a player and sent a dipping thirty yard shot over the keepers head and into the top corner. Vallance FC looked comfortable until the 41st minute as Hillingdon FC were awarded a free kick which was floated into the back post where a Hillingdon player was on hand to head home.

The 2nd half saw both teams try and push for a winner but it was defences who came out on top as chances were few and far between to send the match into extra time with the scores tied at 1-1. Extra time produced more goalmouth action however as Hillingdon FC threatened only to be denied by Jamie Vincent in the Vallance FC goal with a superb save and some last ditch defending. Vallance FC themselves had chances to win most notable through Chidozka, who, after making the space for himself was foiled by the keeper when clean through. Extra time could not separate the sides so it went all the way to a penalty shootout.

Hillingdon were first up in the shootout and scored their 1st penalty but Vallance were soon level with a well taken penalty of their own. Hillingdon scored their 2nd but Vallance could not reply to leave Hillingdon infront after 2 penalties each. Vincent saved Hillingdon's 3rd and Vallance scored their next one to even it up again. Hillingdon scored their 4th penalty to edge back into the lead but Vallance could not pull level as they missed their next one. It was left to the Hillingdon player to score his sides 5th penalty and book their place in the next round as Vallance FC went down 4-2 in the shootout.

Vallance welcomed Greens United Date 09/02/2011

Vallance welcomed Greens United on Saturday 29th January 2011 for a Middlesex League Division One (Central and East) fixture. The two sides had already met earlier in the season in the League cup with Vallance running out six two winners but both teams knew it would be a different game today.

The opening forty five minutes certainly indicated it would be a different game as Vallance produced possibly their worst half of the season so far. Vallance were sloppy in possession, slow to pick up second balls, gave away needless free kicks and failed to compete physically. It came as no surprise that after having a goal ruled out for offside, Greens United took the lead midway through the first half with their left winger headering into an empty net after a mix up in the Vallance backline. The away side could have been further infront only to be denied by some superb stops by Jamie Vincent in the Vallance goal. As the half neared the end, Vallance began to settle and found an equaliser through new signing Alex Nunziante who beat the keeper with a well placed shot after good work by Shabir Ahmed.

Vallance came out a different team in the second half and took the lead soon afterwards with a well worked goal. Kirkie Thomas with a superb though ball to Ahmed, who after rounding the keeper, squared for Nunziante to slot home his second of the game. Greens then layed siege to the Vallance goal but could not find a way through as every single Vallance player run themselves into the ground to protect the lead. The closest Greens came to equalising was a header which came back off the bar from a corner they was somewhat fortuitous to have been awarded in the first place.

Vallance looked threatening on the break and Nunziante almost capped a dream debut with a hatrick but shot wide when clean through inwhat proved to be the last kick of the game.

A two one victory for Vallance and manager Junel Uddin was delighted with the performance and the character shown by the team in the second half after such a poor first half.

Vallance Senior Team take on Bethnal Green A Date 14/12/2010

Vallance Senior Team made the short trip to Victoria Park to take on Bethnal Green A in the Middlesex County 1st Division (Central and East) on Saturday 11th December 2010.

Vallance were looking to build on their recent good form whilst Bethnal had made a very impressive start to the season themselves. It was the home side who had the first opportunity of the match when their Right Winger was allowed time and space in the Vallance box to get a shot away but it was pushed over the bar by recently named Captain and Keeper Jamie Vincent.

Bethnal then had the majority of play, but Vallance defended well and reduced bethnal to shooting from long range which was never going to trouble Vincent.

Vallance began to come into the game more and took the lead half way through the first half with a fine volley by Kirkie Thomas which looped over the Keeper and into the back of the net.

Vallance knew the game was far from won and after some more pressure from Bethnal, the home side equalised with a shot from an acute angle that found the corner of the net.

Both teams knew the next goal would be vital in such a tight game and despite both looking to get it, both sides were cautious at the back. It was Bethnal however, who who managed to find a way through, as a calm volleyed finish by their number ten who set himself up with a fine flick. Vallance looked for ways to get back into the game and looked threatening when they ventured forward but lacked a cutting edge. Half chances fell their way but none that seriously tested the Bethnal Keeper whilst Vincent had to be alert at the other end to keep out a couple well struck shots.

In the end a two one defeat for Vallance in a game they deserved at least a point from but they will look to bounce back in their last game of 2010 next week.

Vallance return as they welcomed North London Football Academy Date 23/11/2010

Vallance returned to league matters this weekend as they welcomed North London Football Academy for their 3rd Home League Game of the Season. Vallance made a dream start to the game as they went ahead as early as the first minute through a Mehmood Kamal tap in after good work by Gerald Chidozka. Chidozka then got on the score sheet himself as a fine turn and volley drifted over the keeper and into the net.

Vallance had the safety of a two goal cushion but as ever made life difficult for themselves as they pushed for a third, got caught on the attack and North London broke and punished Vallance with a fine volley into the right corner of the Vallance net from a cross. Vallance soon restored their two goal advantage as a quick corner into the box was met by the head of Terence Mensah for his first goal of the season. North London pushed forward in search of another goal to bring them back into the game and it arrived from a shot just outside the box to give them hope.

Vallance looked rattled and North London eventually equalised with a rasping shot from twenty yards that left Jamie Vincent in the Vallance goal with no chance. The game was firmly in the balance but it was Vallance who had the chance to go into the break ahead as they were awarded a Penalty for Handball. Nazul Kamal could not repeat his heroics from the spot from the previous week as he blazed the penalty over.

The Second half was a game of end to end as both teams threatened to take the points. However, wasteful finishing from Vallance and Vincent once again in top form ensured the score remained even. That was until Chidozka scored his second of the game with a weak shot that somehow evaded the Keeper and found the back of the net. Vallance could not rest on a one goal cushion as on more than one occasion, the away side threatened but Vallance held strong with some last ditch defending and top goalkeeping. They eventually got breathing space as substitute Sabir Ahmed got his name on the score sheet with a well placed shot into the bottom corner.

Vallance then could have made it six with three minutes to go but Chidozka weakly headed into the Keeper's arms, who in turn, got North London on the break and a powerful run by a North London midfielder saw him one on one with Vincent and he maintained his cool to smash home to make it a nervy final few minutes for Vallance. Vallance managed to hold on and were relieved to finally hear the Referees full time whistle. A pulsating game finishing 5-4 in Vallance's favour and a much needed three points to get their League Campaign back on track.

Vallance Senior Team travelled to take on Greens United Date 17/11/2010

Vallance Senior Team travelled to take on Greens United in the first round of the Jim Rogers President's Division One Cup on Saturday 13rd November 2010.

Vallance were in their stride soon after kick off and were ahead as early as the fifth minute as top goalscorer Gerald Chidozka slotted home after evading the challenge of a Greens defender.

Vallance were then soon presented with a great chance to double their lead after being awarded a Penalty following handball by a Green's defender after good work by Zishan Ahmed down the Left Wing. Left back Nazul Kamal converted the Penalty for his first goal in almost two years. Greens United threatened briefly as they looked for ways to get back into the game but Vallance were more than in control and they made it three nil through Mehmood Kamal who smashed home from close range after good work by Gerald Chidozka. Vallance could have went into the break even further ahead but were guilty of some wasteful finishing.

Vallance knew it was important not to concede a goal early in the second half and held out for the first twenty minutes as Greens United pushed forward but to little effect as Vallance held strong at the back and looked threatening on the break. Greens were eventually handed a lifeline as they awarded Penalty for handball which was converted into the bottom corner.

It proved to be false hope however as Vallance were then awarded another penalty shortly afterwards, this time for a foul. Gerald Chidozka tucked home the Penalty to restore Vallance's three goal advantage. Further goals by Zishan Ahmed and Gerald Chidozka who completed his hatrick ensured a comfortable end to the game for Vallance before the home side had a player sent off and scored a later consolation to leave the final score at six two in Vallance's favour.

Vallance Manager Junel Uddin was happy with the win and a second round place but said that despite scoring six goals, the boys need to be more ruthless in front of goal as we could have had a lot more. He also added he hopes this win will kick start the League form and result in the team moving up the table.

Vallance welcomed MCFL Premiership boys Willesden Constantine Date 03/11/2010

Vallance welcomed MCFL Premiership boys Willesden Constantine to their new home ground for a MCFL Senior Open Cup third round tie on Saturday 30th October 2010.

The Hone side knew they would be in for a tough afternoon as again they were missing several first team Players whilst Willesden were top of their League.

Willesden soon got into their stride and went one nil up through a peach of a half volley from the edge of the area which dipped just under the crossbar.

Willesden continued to dominate and wasteful finishing, the woodwork and some great saves by Jamie Vincent in the Vallance goal prevented the away side from completely running away with the game. They eventually doubled their lead with a close range finish after some poor defending from Vallance.

However Vallance threatened to turn the game on it's head straight after Half Time as Zishan Ahmed smashed home from an acute angle after a good through ball by Sam O' Brien.

It was not to last though as Vallance shot themselves in the foot five minutes later as they needlessly gave away a Penalty which was hammered home to restore the away side's two goal advantage. Vallance still believed they could get something from the game and had a couple of chances to once again reduce the arrears but were wasteful when in good shooting positions.

Willesden looked to kill the game off and a further four goals in the space of half hour shattered any hopes vallance had of getting back into the game although it could have been more had it not been for Vincent in the Vallance goal who twice came out on top when the Willesden Foward was one on one with him.

A dissapointing day for Vallance and a exit from the cup be it against one of the favourites but they will look to bounce back in their next league game.

Vallance Senior Team take on FC Romania Date 27/10/2010

Vallance Senior Team made the short trip to Walthamstow on Saturday 23rd October 2010 to take on FC Romania in the Middlesex County Division One (Central and East).

Knowing a victory could take them into the top four, Vallance started off with a very attack minded team but were soon chasing the game early in as the home side took a fifth minute lead with a well placed shot from just inside the area. Vallance struggled to impose themselves on the game and were second best all over the pitch. FC Romania looked for the second goal but were wasteful in front of goal. Vallance began to find their rhythm and Gerald Chikodza came close with a thirty yard shot that cannoned off the crossbar. FC Romania did eventually extend their lead on the stroke of half time with another shot from inside the area which just found the bottom corner after a slight deflection.

Vallance were dealt a huge blow at Half Time with the news Keeper Jamie Vincent was unable to continue due to injury so Hamidul Islam was forced between the sticks. Gerald Chikodza then had a great chance to get Vallance back into the game but after evading the challenge of two defenders, was denied by a good stop by the Home Keeper.

FC Romania then threatened to run riot as two quick fire goals seemed to kill off any hopes Vallance had of getting back into the game. Vallance kept going and were offered a glimmer of hope as they were awarded a Penalty. Skipper Sam O'Brien however saw his weak Spot Kick saved as it would just not go for Vallance. Their luck did eventually change two minutes later though as Gerald Chikodza tapped in at the near post before further reducing the arrears with a Penalty after a handball by the Home side.

With over twenty minutes to play, Vallance were believing they could take an unlikely point or even all three from the game but needed Hamidul Islam to come to their rescue with some fine saves. He was powerless however when FC Romania broke and their Central Midfielder lashed the ball home after a well worked move.

Their was still time for Gerald Chikodza to complete his hatrick and Sam O'Brien to have a goal ruled out for offside before the Referee blew the final whistle to end a match which had just about everything. A final scoreline of five three for FC Romania but Vallance will look to bounce back in the Unity Cup Final on Wednesday and the Middlesex County Senior Open Cup next Saturday when they welcome Premership boys Willesden Constantine to their new home ground.

Vallance FC home win Date 21/10/2010

Vallance FC home win

Vallance Senior Team welcomed Wilberforce Wanderers FC to their new home ground at Waltham Forest Pool and Track Stadium on Saturday 16th October 2010 in the Middlesex County Central and East Division One.

Vallance started the game with a very much makeshift team as injuries and other unfortunate events prevented Vallance having a full squad to choose from. They found themselves one down after ten minutes as they failed to deal with a long ball down the middle of the pitch and the Wilberforce Wanderers Centre Forward calmly finished to hand the Visitors the lead. Vallance looked for ways to get back into the game but came up short as the away team defended well. Vallance eventually did equalise eight minutes from the interval as Ruben Da Silva smashed home his first goal for the Club despite an apparent handball in the build-up.

Vallance came out second half and almost found themselves behind once more only for Vallance Keeper Jamie Vincent to come to their rescue with a fine save on the line with his leg. Vallance then completely took control of the game as a left foot shot from twenty yards from Sam O'Brien, a close range finish from Zishan Ahmed and a fine Volley from Mehmood Kamal put Vallance firmly in the driving seat. However, Complacency soon began to creep in and Wilberforce soon made it four two and then thought they have made it four three only to be denied by the Offside Flag.

This was the wake up call Vallance needed and they soon made it five as Gerald Chidozka rounded the keeper and slotted home after a good through ball. Both teams had chances to add to their totals but were unable to do so as the game was played out.

A five two final scoreline for Vallance who hope the win will be the first of many in the League and start to lift them up the table aswell as help make their new Home a fortress this coming season. (picture attached from game)

Vallance Senior Team on the road to take on Regents Park FC Date 12/10/2010

Vallance Senior Team were on the road again as they travelled to take on Regents Park FC in their third League Game of the season in the Middlesex County 1st Division (Central and East).

Vallance Manager Junel Uddin still did not have a fully fit Squad to choose from but sent out a very attack minded team. Vallance controlled the first ten minutes as they threatened to make the game very one sided. However, Regents Park eventually began to find their feet and enjoy their share of possession. It was the home side who broke the deadlock midway through the first half as the Vallance backline failed to deal with a Cross into the Box resulting in the Regents Park forward headering home from seven yards. The rest of the First half was played out with both teams going forward with intent but neither failing to trouble the opposition keeper.

The Second half started just as the First half finished as both teams knew the next goal would be crucial. Vallance saw plenty of the ball but were lacking a cutting edge going forward. Credit must go to Regents Park however as rather than sit back on their one goal lead, they looked to extend their lead but were met by some stern defending from the back four of vallance. They did however have a golden chance to extend their lead but their Centre Forward blasted over when well placed in the penalty area. The final fifthteen minutes was all Vallance as they searched for that elusive goal. Their best chance fell to Ricardo Humphrey Whittle but he shot straight at the keeper after evading the challenges of two defenders. In the final two minutes a good through ball was played for Shabir Ahmed who run on to it, only to be met by a very dubious Offside Flag.

Manager Junel Uddin added after the game both him and the boys were very disappointed as they definitely felt there was points to be taken from this game but will look to bounce back in our next Home game which will be held at our new Stadium.

Vallance FC Senior Team travelled across London to Southgate Date 05/10/2010

Vallance FC Senior Team travelled across London to Southgate on Saturday 2nd Oct 2010 as they took on St Johns Arsenal Deaf in the Middlesex County Division One (Central and East) League.

Despite Vallance missing a few first team players, they still put out a strong team and as the early stages of the game suggested, Vallance knew they would be in for a tough afternoon as St Johns made a positive start to the game. Vallance always looked threatening on the break but it was the home side who broke the deadlock with a shot into the corner of the net from twenty yards.

Vallance looked to get back into the game but luck was not on their side as St Johns were then awarded a fortuitous penalty after their Centre Forward tripped over his own leg.

However, justice was done as Jamie Vincent in the Vallance goal, saved not only the penalty but also the rebound before collecting the ball at the third attempt.

Vallance then had a great chance to equalise but Gerald Chikodza blazed over when well placed in the box. St Johns made Vallance pay as they extended their lead just before half time from close range after reacting quicker to a free kick into the Vallance box.

The Second half kicked off with both teams knowing the next goal would be vital. After possession from both teams in each others half, it was St Johns who claimed the next goal with their Centre Forward slotting home when clean through. Vallance poured forward in search of a goal that would offer them hope and came close only to be denied by some good saves by the home keeper.

Vallance did eventually grab a goal when Mehmood Kamal converted the ball from close range after good work by Sabir Ahmed down the right wing. Vallance poured forward as they tried to capitalise on the goal but it was to little to late.

Vallance Senior Team made the long trip to John Lyon School Date 28/09/2010

Vallance Senior Team made the long trip to John Lyon School as they took on Hendon 'A' in the Middlesex County Football League Senior Open Cup on Saturday 25th September 2010.

With Vallance eager to avoid extra time and possibly penalties, they started off with a 4-3-3 formation with the hope of winning the game in normal time. The first ten minutes were a fairly even affair with both sides threatening but neither having any real clear cut chances. However, it was Vallance who broke the deadlock with Sabir Ahmed heading the ball in from practically the goal line after the ball fell kindly to him from a corner after a mistake by the home keeper.

Hendon looked to get back into the game and pushed forward in search of an equaliser with their best chance coming on the stroke of half time as their Centre Forward found himself one on one with Vallance keeper Jamie Vincent, only for the keeper to come out on top.

Both teams knew the next goal would be vital and Hendon threw everything at Vallance only to come across some resolute defending from the Vallance backline as well as a some good Goalkeeping by Vincent. Vallance came into the half more and could could have extended their lead through Sabir Ahmed but was denied by the Keeper's legs.

After more pressure on the Vallance goal, Vallance eventually made it 2-0 with Sabir Ahmed breaking clear, rounding the keeper and rolling the ball into an empty net. Sabir Ahmed completed his hatrick six minutes from time with a shot from eight yards that left the keeper with no chance.

A professional performance by Vallance resulting in a 3-0 win in what as been as a positive start to the season for the boys.

Vallance Senior Team began life in the Middlesex County Division One Date 24/09/2010

Vallance Senior Team began life in the Middlesex County Division One (Central and East) with a creditable 1-1 draw against West Essex FC on Saturday 18th September 2010.

On a Hot day in East London, the First half was a fairly drab affair with very few chances falling to either teams. West Essex FC had the best chance of the first half with a stinging shot that Vallance FC debut keeper Jamie Vincent done well to push away. Vallance FC threatened but their final ball often let them down as both teams struggled going forward.

The Second half saw much more action as both teams looked to improve on their First half performance. West Essex FC poured forward in search of breaking the Deadlock but the Vallance FC Backline held strong whilst Vallance look threatening on the break with their pace threatening to expose the West Essex Defence.

It was West Essex FC however, who broke the deadlock with Vallance FC not reacting in time to a cross into the box which was converted by a West Essex FC player although somewhat fortunate as it went in off his shoulder rather than his head. Vallance FC did not let their heads drop and were soon on level terms as Gerald Chikodza slotted home at the second attempt from Five yards after good work by Shabir Ahmed. Both teams looked for a winner as the West Essex FC keeper made a superb save to keep Vallance FC out, whilst at the other end Jamie Vincent came to Vallance's rescue as he saved a effort by a West Essex striker when clean through.

Vallance FC put League matters on hold this coming Saturday as they travel to Hendon A in the MCFL Senior Open Cup.

Junior Hammers took the lead in the first minute but after constant pressure from Vallance throughout the game they were awarded a penalty with 10 minutes remaining and Samir Amin scored. Vallance had 4 clear chances after that to win in normal time but striker Mohamed Sadiqur did not have his shooting boots on. Vallance FC welcomed Singh Sabha Slough FC to Beckton on Saturday 17th April 2010 in the Middlesex County Premier Division. Date 21/04/2010

Vallance found themselves one down as early as the second minute as the Vallance backline failed to cut out a through ball which was converted by the Singh Sabha striker. Vallance were not behind for long however as they were soon on level terms through Ricardo Humphrey Whittle who put the ball into a empty net after a poor punch by the keeper.

Vallance then took the lead through Terence Mensah who broke clear and smashed the ball into the top corner leaving the keeper with no chance. Vallance further increased their lead courtesy of a penalty by Tyler Sango Ismael given for a handball.

Both teams come out in the second half knowing the next goal would be vital. Singh Shaba enjoyed the majority of possession but the Vallance backline held strong. However the away side eventually found a way back into the game as a Singh Sabha player headed home from a corner. Vallance began to come into the half more and could have extended their lead but the Singh Sabha keeper produced a fine double save.

However Singh Sabha eventually equalised when a cross from the left found the right winger at the back post who blasted the ball into the Vallance net. Five minutes later and Singh Sabha were then awarded a penalty. However, Vallance players felt the referee had been conned with a dive.

Vallance keeper Robert Cope was the hero however as he kept out the penalty with his legs. With two minutes of play left Singh Sabha thought they taken all three points with a header into the Vallance net only to be denied by the offside flag.

Vallance FC welcomed Kodak Harrow Date 03/04/2010

Vallance FC welcomed Kodak Harrow on Saturday 3rd April 2010 in the Middlesex County Premier Division seeking revenge after suffering an undeserved 3-1 defeat earlier in the season by their visitors.

Vallance were slow out the blocks and found themselves two down inside the first fifth teen minutes. The back line failed to cut out two through balls which were clinically converted by the Kodak strikers. Vallance had chances to get back into the game as they regularly got into good shooting positions but poor finishing and some good saves by the Kodak keeper denied them. Kodak could have extended their lead but a dipping volley was tipped over the bar by Robert Cope in the Vallance goal.

The second half kicked off and both teams knew the next goal would be vital should one arrive. Again, Vallance controlled the majority of the half but were guilty of some wasteful finishing as well as finding the Kodak keeper in good form. Kodak looked threatening on the break but rarely troubled the Vallance backline. Ricardo Humphrey Whittle, Kirkie Thomas and Terence Darkomensah all came close to scoring for Vallance but each of the trio failed to find the back of the net.

Vallance manager Junel Uddin felt that this was a winnable game but lapses in concentration at the back and failure to score at the other end cost Vallance dear.

Vallance FC made the trip to Burton Court on Saturday 27th March 2010 as they took on Sloane FC in the Middlesex County Premier league
Date 30/03/2010

Vallance FC made a bright start and saw plenty of the ball early on but didn't really test the Sloane goalkeeper. Sloane began to come into the game as the half progressed and almost went ahead when a ferocious shot went just wide of the Vallance FC post. Sloane did however take the lead soon afterwards as poor marking by Vallance FC from a free kick resulted in a header being converted in the bottom right hand corner of the Vallance FC goal.

Vallance FC were soon on level terms though as Ricardo Humphrey Whittle poked home inside the six yard box after a goal mouth scramble. Sloane almost took the lead just before half time but Valance FC keeper Robert Cope did well to push the ball away from a shot inside the box.

The majority of the second half was played in the Vallance half but Vallance FC held strong and continued to deny Sloane. Sloane did not help themselves at times as they were guilty of some wasteful finishing.

Vallance FC were holding their own but again had to rely on Robert Cope to get them out of trouble with some fine stops. Sloane did manage to take the lead with ten minutes to go from a header which crept in at the near post. However Vallance FC protested the goal should not have stood as an apparant foul throw by Sloane went unpunished in the build up to the goal. Vallance FC felt they should have had a penalty late on for handball but the Referee waved away all appeals.

Vallance FC manager Junel Uddin was disappointed his side couldn't get a equaliser but felt they gave Sloane a very tough game and there was positives to be taken from the match.

Vallance FC picked up a hard fought point on Saturday Date 23/03/2010

Vallance FC picked up a hard fought point on Saturday 20th March 2010 in the Middlesex County Premier League against mid table side Stonewall FC at Barn Elms Playing Fields.

The first half was a fairly even affair with both defences coming out on top. Vallance FC had more of the ball but neither side failed to carve out any real clear cut chances. A couple of shots straight into the keepers arms was the best Vallance FC could muster whilst Stonewall's only real chance of any note was a shot across goal that went wide of the far post.

The second half however was a much more entertaining game with chances at both ends. It was Stonewall who took the lead however despite a suspected hand ball in the build up to the goal. Vallance FC searched for the equaliser but it was Stonewall however who could have extended their lead only to be denied by some superb saves by Vallance FC goalkeeper Robert Cope. He came out on top when faced one on one with the Stonewall striker, tipped a deflected shot around the post and clawed a header off the line. However he saved his best for last with a superb reaction save to keep out a thunderous shot. Vallance FC were not to be denied though and it was the introduction of Tyler Sango Ismael who changed the game. His cross enabling Ricardo Humphrey Whittle to head home.

There was still time for both sides to win it as Vallance FC striker Liam O' Hara was denied by the Stonewall goalkeeper whilst a shot whistled wide of the Vallance FC post a couple of minutes before the end.

Vallance FC manager Junel Uddin was pleased with the 1-1 draw and hopes the team can now push on and put some more points on the board.

Vallance FC worst performance Date 09/03/2010

Vallance FC produced possibly their worst performance of the season as they took on Hayes Gate Utd on Saturday 6th March 2010 in the Middlesex County Premier Division.

Hayes Gate took the lead as early as the 5th minute as poor defending allowed an Hayes Gate player a simple tap in from inside the six yard box. Despite being a goal down, Vallance FC did not let their heads drop and were rewarded with an equaliser from Forward turned Midfielder Liam O' Hara with a low shot into the corner of the goal from outside the box.

VallanceFC, buoyed on by their equaliser were starting to believe they could get something from the game. However it was the backline who cost them again as a sloppy pass straight to the Hayes Gate left Winger resulted in Hayes Gate regaining the lead.

Vallance FC started the second half with the belief they were still in the game but soon found themselves 2 goals down as again a mistake at the back cost them dear. Three Further goals followed for Hayes Gate including a peach of a free kick as Vallance FC heads dropped all over the pitch.

Vallance FC rarely failed threatened the Hayes Gate goal with a Aminoor Rahman shot going wide and Tyler Ismael's free kick which the keeper did well to palm away being Vallance's only real chances in the second half.

Despite this six one reverse, Vallance will feel confedent of securing their first win of the season this coming Saturday as they entertain FC Deportivo Galicia in the unfamiliar surroundings of the West Ham United Community Sports Trust 3G pitch as Meath Gardens is still affected by previous weeks rain.

Vallance FC made the short trip to West Ham Date 02/03/2010

Vallance FC made the short trip to West Ham to take on top of the table Interwood FC on Saturday 27th February 2010 in the Middlesex County Premier League.

With Interwood FC boasting an ex professional in their ranks as well as ex academy boys Vallance FC were always in for a tough afternoon and were on the back foot from the very first minute.

Interwood FC moving the ball around the park with such ease as Vallance FC struggled to get a foothold in the game. Vallance FC remaining on level terms for the first twenty minutes due to some last ditch defending and fine goalkeeping by Robert Cope. However Vallance FC soon found themselves two down as Interwood FC finally made the pressure count and scored two quickfire goals.

Manager Junel Uddin then dropped Liam O'Hara into midfield and pushed Zishan Ahmed upfront by himself. The change seemed to work as Vallance FC began to plug the holes in the midfield and ease pressure on the backline as the game neared half time.

Vallance FC started the second half as they finished the first and pulled a goal back through Ricardo Humphrey Whittle after a goal keeping mistake. For the first time Vallance FC believed they could get something from the match as they were containing Interwood's free flowing passing game and looking threatening on the break. It was Interwood FC however who got the next goal as Vallance FC failed to deal with a ball into the box.

Despite keeper Robert Cope again producing some fine saves, Interwood FC scored three more goals including a couple of crackers as Vallance FC heads dropped after such hard work getting back into the game when two nil down.

Vallance FC Manager Junel Uddin said after the game Interwood FC were much the better team and deserve to go on and win the title but felt there was positives to take from the Vallance performance.

Vallance FC welcomed Hounslow Wanderers Date 24/02/2010

Vallance FC finally resumed their league campaign as they welcomed Hounslow Wanderers on Saturday 19th February 2010. The match was being played at Victoria Park as Meath Gardens was still badly affected by rain.

The first half was a fairly even affair with both defences mainly coming out on top. Hounslow came closest to breaking the deadlock with a header from just outside the six yard box coming back off the Vallance crossbar and into the grateful arms of Vallance Keeper Robert Cope. Vallance failed to test the Hounslow keeper with their best chance coming from a low cross into the six yard box by Liam O'Hara which no one in a red shirt was able to get on the end of.

Hounslow made the breakthrough two minutes into the second half as the Vallance backline was caught napping resulting in the Hounslow striker finding himself with just Robert Cope to beat which he dually did lifting the ball over him with the outside of his boot.

Vallance searched for an equaliser and it almost came after some wonderful one touch football. Michael Lovett playing the ball to Liam O'Hara who produced an exquisite touch into the path of Dan Portsmouth who produced a first time shot from twenty five yards and was desperately unlucky to see it come back off the post. Vallance continued to search for the equaliser but were unable to do so before Hounslow made it two nil with three minutes to spare.

Manager Junel Uddin was disappointed about the result but again felt Vallance deserved something from the game as he felt they more than matched opposition who are challenging for the Middlesex County Premier Division title.

Vallance Football Club made the long trip to Harrow Date 03/02/2010

Vallance Football Club made the long trip to Harrow on Saturday 30th January as they took on Kodak Harrow in the Middlesex County Football League.

The first 10 minutes were fairly even with both sides not creating many chances. However the rest of the half was played for large parts in Kodak's half as Vallance FC completely dominated. With right winger Tyler Ismael giving the Kodak left back a torrid time.

Vallance FC really should have went into the break with the lead but just could not convert the chances that fell their way. Tyler Ismael going close with a free kick and Zishan Ahmed producing a good save out of the goalkeeper with a stinging shot to name a few. Vallance FC however did take the lead soon after the break with Zishan Ahmed smashing home his first goal of the season.

Vallance FC were not in the lead for long though as they soon found themselves behind within five minutes of taking the lead. The first Kodak goal being a header after Vallance FC failed to defend a corner and the second soon after with a Kodak shot getting a fortunate deflection of skipper Sam O'Brien and looping over Keeper Robert Cope. Vallance FC searched for the equaliser and Aminoor Rahman and Liam O'Hara both went close.

In added time Kodak got their third goal of the game with a close range finish despite a Kodak player who was interfering with play appearing to be in an offside position.

Heavy rain having affected the pitch, both teams knew it would be a major battle for possession. Chances were few in the opening period of the first half for both teams. However it was Southall who opened the scoring with a header from inside the box after Vallance were slow to push out of their own box.

Vallance soon found themselves two down. The Vallance back line failing to cut out a high diagonal ball which resulted in the Southall right winger bearing down on goal with just Robert Cope to beat and he made no mistake to double the advantage.

Vallance's best chance of the half fell to Tyler Ismael who after good work down the right hand side forced a good save from the Southall keeper. Southall had another opportunity to add to their lead but their centre forward miscued the ball when clean through.

The second half was a fairly even affair. The introduction of Courtney James on the left hand side for Vallance offering some much needed pace and power. The majority of Vallance attacks were coming down the wings with some good balls delivered into the Southall box but no one in a red shirt able to get on the end of them. Half chances fell to Aminoor Rahman and Michael Lovett but neither were converted.

Southall's best chance of the second half came in the last ten minutes when their left winger was about to pull the trigger when well placed in the box only to be denied by a well timed tackle by right back and man of the match Daniel Portsmouth.

Vallance FC travelled to Osterley Sports club Date 15/12/2009

Vallance FC travelled to Osterley Sports club on Saturday 12th December to take on FC Deportivo Galicia in the Middlesex County Premier Division. Vallance's preparations were hampered before hand with right winger Muminur Choudhury forced to go between the sticks as regular goalkeeper Robert Cope was still injured.

Vallance FC had the better chances in the first half with Tyler Ismael blazing over when in a well placed position and the keeper denying Aminoor Rahman his second goal of the season when he was clean through on goal. Vallance FC were then made to pay for the missed chances as Deportivo Galicia scored two quick fire goals just before half time.

The first goal a shot from the edge of the box that creped through the keeper's hand and into the net. The second a smart finish on the edge of the six yard box from a corner that was whipped into the Vallance box. Vallance FC did not let their heads drop and were back in the game midway through the second half with two quick goals themselves.

Sabir Ahmed scored an easy tap in after the Deportivo Galica keeper made a mistake from a back pass when under pressure. Tyler Ismael then made amends for his earlier miss when he lashed in null equaliser after Galicia had failed to clear a free kick into the box. However Vallance FC were on level terms for just a few minutes as Deportivo Galicia scored their third of the match from just inside the box.

Vallance FC pressed for an equaliser yet again but Liam O' Hara put his shot over the crossbar with just the keeper to beat. Deportivo Galicia then scored the killer fourth goal from the spot after a harsh penalty was given against Vallance FC.

Zishan Ahmed is young member of Vallance FC and plays for the senior team. He has been apart of the organisation since the age of 12 and has helped the senior get where they are today. He is going for Youth Mayor in Tower Hamlets and we need everyone to vote for him. Date 08/12/2009

Zishan Ahmed for Youth Mayor

Zishan Ahmed is running for Youth Mayor of Tower Hamlets. He has been with Vallance Football Club since the age of 12 and has helped the club in reaching the semi professional status. He is also on the Youth Directors Board for Vallance Community Sports Association.

If Zishan Ahmed becomes Youth Mayor he promises the following:

Privilege Card: Allow the youths to access as many services as possible at no cost of their own, to allow them to develop as people and prosper in life. Services shall include a privilege card which gives free gym membership, free tickets to concerts/sporting events, free entry to cinemas, free sports sessions etc

More projects: Increase the number of projects delivered by youth clubs and community centre by working closely with these organisations so projects can be carried out effectively. This will include increased funding and better publicity of the projects, so young people of tower hamlets know exactly when and where they are taking place. This should increase the number of residential, sporting competitions, day trips to destinations of young people’s choice.

Regenerate outdated facilities: With increasing number of youth facilities becoming outdated it is vital that they are rejuvenated to meet the needs of the young people of tower hamlets. For example there are playgrounds and sports grounds which are in tatters and are in desperate need of being looked into. I will make sure that the important people behind the scenes are aware of it and take action, and fast.

We urge everyone to go out and vote for Zishan Ahmed online via www.amp.uk.net during the week starting December 14th 2009.

Everyone at VCSA wishes Zishan Ahmed the best of luck.

Vallance FC Senior Team welcome Stonewall FC Date 03/12/2009

Vallance FC Senior Team welcomed Stonewall FC to Meath Gardens on Saturday 28th November 2009 for their third home league game of the season in the MIDDLESEX COUNTY PREMIER DIVISION.

The first half was a sloppy affair with both teams unable to string many passes together resulting in very few chances at both ends. The few chances that were created did fall to Stonewall but both were shots that flew wide of the posts.

The second half started off pretty much the same as the first but it was Stonewall who was starting to dominate possession in the middle of the park with the absence of Aminoor Rahman affecting Vallance.

The first goal arrived midway through the second half and it fell to Stonewall. A corner floated into the Vallance area which resulted in a header in the six yard box finding the net after the first header from Stonewall had been blocked on the line. However, Vallance were soon on level terms with a side footed effort from Liam O'Hara after good work by Tyler Ishmael.

The match looked like ending in a draw until two minutes from time Stonewall managed to nick a winner. The goal however did cause some controversy as there was a question mark over whether the shot had actually crossed the line.

Despite Vallance protests the goal was awarded by the linesman and there was very little time for Vallance to equalise for a second time..

Vallance FC v Singh Sabha Slough Date 28/11/2009

Vallance continued their league campaign as they travelled to Burnham Grammar School to take on Singh Sabha Slough on Saturday 21st November 2009.

The first half was a fairly even affair with both side's defences coming out on top. However, the few chances that did fall to either team were failed to be converted with Singh Sabha Slough blazing a shot over the bar from eighteen yards and having a header cleared off the line, whilst Vallance wasted a couple of shots when in good shooting positions.

Vallance were slow out of the blocks in the second half and fell behind to two quick fire goals from Singh Sabha Slough. The first goal the Vallance back line failed to deal with a low ball in the box, and the second, a shot finding the back of the net after going through a host of a players leaving the keeper unsighted. However Vallance refused to lay down and hope was offered in the shape of a 30 yard stunner in the top corner by centre forward Liam O'Hara which left the keeper with no chance.

The last ten minutes proved to be very uncomfortable for Singh Sabha Slough as Vallance searched for the equaliser that on reflection they probably deserved but it just eluded them.

VALLANCE FC PICK UP FIRST POINT Date 10/11/2009

Vallance FC picked up their first point of the campaign in an entertaining 1-1 draw with Willesden Constantine at Alperton Playing Fields on Saturday 7th Nov 2009.

The majority of the first half half was played in Vallance's half with Willesden Constantine coming close to the opening goal on several occasions. However, as the half grew Vallance began to find their feet and both Liam O'Hara and Zishan Ahmed had chances to put Vallance ahead but the keeper was equal to both opportunities.

Willesden Constantine finally broke the deadlock inside the first ten minutes of the second half as a through ball was not cut out by the Vallance backline and the Right Winger of Willesden Constantine calmly slotted in.

Vallance heads did not drop and they were rewarded with an equaliser from Aminoor Rahman, who chased down a flick on from a hopeful ball forward to get there before the Defender and lob over the onrushing Keeper.

Vallance then had to produce some last ditch defending to remain on equal terms as Willesden Constantine bombarded the Vallance goal. However Vallance could have won the game at the death but Tyler Ismael dragged his shot wide when clean through.

Manager Junel Uddin said after the game he was pleased with the point and hopes this can be the turning point in Vallance's season. He also added he was pleased with the performance of the team with Peter Cole and Zishan Ahmed especially impressing.

Vallance FC made debut in Alec Smith Premier Division Cup Date 30/10/2009

Vallance FC made their debut in the Alec Smith Premier Division Cup on Saturday as they travelled to Burton Court to take on Sloane FC in round two of the competition.

Vallance had the majority of play in the first half with Aminoor Rahman in particular at the heart of everything good for Vallance.

Despite Vallance controlling the majority of the first half, they failed to carve out any real clear cut chances and it was in fact Sloane who could have gone into the break ahead but keeper Robert Cope was equal to both opportunities that fell their way.

The second half kicked off and it was Sloane who eventually made the breakthrough with a well placed header into the bottom corner from a cross into the box.

Three more goals from Sloane, two headers from corners and a unstoppable thirty yard shot into the top left hand corner killed off any hopes Vallance had of getting back into the game.

However Vallance manager Junel Uddin said after the game that despite being disappointed with the result, he was pleased with the first half performance and believes the team's current plight is only temporary

Vallance FC travelled to Rosedale College on Saturday 3rd Oct 2009 as they came up against unbeaten Hounslow Wanderers in the league.

Vallance took the game to Hounslow Wanderers from the very first minute and the majority of the first half hour was played in the Hounslow half with Vallance Goalkeeper Robert Cope a virtual spectator.

However, Vallance were guilty of missing several chances that would have put them out of sight had they converted them. Towards the end of the half, Hounslow began to come back into the game and could have even gone into the break with the lead, the crossbar coming to Vallance's rescue.

Hounslow did finally break the deadlock five minutes into the second half when Vallance didn't deal with a cross into the box and didn't pick up a run from deep which resulted in a simple header for the Hounslow Central Midfielder. Chances fell to both teams in the next half hour with neither team able to convert them.

However, Ten minutes fromt time, Hounslow got the killer second goal with a shot from fifthteen yards out before extending their lead after Vallance were slow to react to a free kick floated into the box. With two minutes remaining, Vallance were finally rewarded be it only a consolation with a smart finish from top scorer Courtney James.
